Little peek

Sunset from the place we were house sitting at, just over the hill from our house.
I'm visiting were I can get on the Internet for a little while and despite the fact that the house is still a mess and not all unpacked I thought I would share some pics. Our first night at the house was July 4th! Its amazing to be out there. I couldn't begin to describe it if I tried, and there is so much to do and plan and work on.
These counter tops can out of a spray can. Amazing hu?!! Shhhh...don't tell. It's our little secret. We will be installing more cabinets and some open shelves later on.
Didn't the rug I made turn out nice? I'm pretty pleased with it.
And I have a few of the roman blinds I sewed installed, and we like the way they look, and more importantly the way they block out the afternoon sun! Even though my contributions to our home are small compared to The Man's, it felt so good to know I had used my time wisely before the house was done and had my own contributions to make to our home. I wonder if that's how it feels when we get to heaven...if we are prepared and have used our time wisely.
Well that's all for now. We still don't have Internet at the house, but when we do, and I have the house settled, I plan on being back more regular. Until then, blessings to you all. Drop by and see us some time! We'd love to have you.

  7. I was thinking the same thing! My living room is almost that color, maybe a teensy bit darker, but it's pretty close! Happy Housewarming!
